Azerbaijani chess players will participate in the World Championship in Kazakhstan.
"Report" reports that the opening ceremony of the World Cup will take place today in Almaty.
785 chess players from 83 countries will compete in the prestigious competition. The championship will be organized among boys and girls in the 8, 10 and 12 age categories.
Azerbaijan will be represented at the World Championship by Fatima Mirzaliyeva, Nurlan Azizli, Mehriban Ahmadli, Malak Asadli, Atilla Orman, Kenan Babasoy and Asnad Bakhshizade.
The 11-round world championship will end on September 30.
