The Azerbaijani men's chess team defeated Armenia with a score of 2.5:1.5.
In the VI round, Shahriyar Mammadyarov finished the match as the winner. Rauf Mammadov, Eltaj Safarli and Aydin Suleymanli played to a draw. After this victory, the Azerbaijani team has 9 points.
Our women's chess team also surpassed the Armenian chess players in the VI round. Ulviyya Fataliyeva and Gulnar Mammadova defeated the opponent, Khanim Balajayeva and Govhar Beydullayeva finished the game in a draw. After the 3:1 victory, the women chess players reached 8 points.
Note that tomorrow is a day off at the European Championship. The continental championship will end on October 14.
