                    The Azerbaijani national team will face Uzbekistan for a spot in the Women's World Chess Championship, which will be held in Linares, Spain.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Chess Federation that the prestigious competition will be attended by the organizing country Spain, the four best teams of the last World Championship held in 2023 – Georgia, France, Kazakhstan, USA, as well as China, Ukraine, Peru, Egypt, India and FIDE teams selected by continent according to the world ranking.
The owner of the 12th ticket to the World Championship will be determined in the qualifying match between the teams of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The qualifying match for the World Championship will be held on November 1-2 at the "Dinamo" Hotel in Baku.
The national team that wins as a result of the rapid competition over two days will win a ticket to the World Championship.
The Azerbaijani national team will compete in the qualifying match with the following team: Gunay Mammadzada, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva, Govhar Beydullayeva and Ulviyya Fataliyeva. The captain of the team will be European champion Gadir Huseynov.
The chief arbiter of the qualifying match between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan is Faig Hasanov.
It should be noted that the World Cup will be held on November 18-23.
