The Azerbaijani national men's chess team has risen to first place at the European Championship held in Batumi, Georgia.
According to "Report", this was due to the team's victory over Ukraine in the VIII round.
The match ended with a score of 2.5:1.5 in favor of our team. Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Mahammad Muradli, and Eltaj Safarli competed in the team.
The only victory was recorded by Rauf Mammadov. Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Eltaj Safarli, and Aydin Suleymanli drew with their opponents.
With one round remaining, the men's national team is in first place with 13 points, ahead of the Ukrainian team.
It should be noted that the European Championship, held according to the Swiss system, will end on October 14.
