Aydın Suleymanli lost to Uzbek player

Our chess player Aydin Suleymanli faced his first defeat in the international tournament held in the Dutch city of Wijk aan Zee. Sport24.az reports that he lost to Nodirbek Yakubboyev from Uzbekistan in the 5th round of the "Challengers" competition.

 

After five rounds, Suleymanli, with 2.5 points, is in 9th place. The tournament is led by Dutchman Erwin L'Ami - 4 points.

 

Today is a rest day in the tournament.
