The Executive Committee meeting of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (AChF) was held. Sport24.az reports that the meeting, organized at the National Carpet Museum, was attended by the President of the International Chess Federation Arkady Dvorkovich, FIDE official, two-time world champion, winner of the World Chess Olympiad Zhu Chen, and the President of the Turkish Chess Federation Fethi Apaydın as guests.
Speaking at the Executive Committee meeting, the President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Mahir Mammadov thanked the guests for attending the opening ceremony of "Baku Open 2025". He stated that important work will be carried out to expand the cooperation of the organization he heads with FIDE and the Turkish Chess Federation. The importance of high organization in the competitions in the regions related to the "Azerbaijan Chess Tour", which was implemented for the first time this year, was also noted.
The AChF President presented a souvenir to two-time world champion, winner of the World Chess Olympiad Zhu Chen.
Discussions were held in the Executive Committee regarding the AChF's reporting and election conference.
