12-year-old Russian chess player Sergey Sklokin defeated current world champion in classical chess, Gukesh Dommaraju, in the third round of the World Blitz Championship held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to Gazeta.ru that Sergey Sklokin currently holds the "master" title of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
It should be noted that on December 28, Norwegian grandmaster Magnus Carlsen won the World Rapid Championship, retaining his title. This was his sixth title in this type of chess.
