The Azerbaijan Championship among young boxers has ended. Sport24.az reports that 304 athletes (278 men, 26 women) from 64 teams representing clubs from various cities and regions of the country, as well as sports societies, tested their strength in the competition.
On the last day of the 6-day tournament, champions and medalists were determined in 13 weight categories among boys and 5 among girls.
The final matches were held today at the Boxing Center, where the competition was organized, and the names of the country's strongest boxers became clear.
In the team standings of the tournament, the "Education" Republican Sports Center took first place with 45 points. Ganja (31) took second place, while "Iron Fist" (27) closed the "top three".
Subhan Mammadov was awarded the title of the best boxer in the championship. Ruslan Dadashov (Shirvan) was selected as the best coach, and Rovshan Gadırov as the best referee.
It should be noted that the prize-winners will be involved in the national team and will represent our country in international competitions.
