Bilalhəbaşi Nazarov, participating in the "Strandja" international tournament held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, considers his fight against the Armenian boxer in his first adult competition the most responsible moment of his career.
The boxer talked about his fights with his first opponents.
"My first opponent was an Irish athlete. He was the European champion among U-23s. But I didn't have much difficulty and won 5:0. In the 1/4 finals, I fought with an Armenian athlete. For me, this was one of the biggest, most responsible fights. I wanted to win a medal in my first adult competition, and my opponent was Armenian. He was the European champion among adults. I had a double responsibility. Thankfully, we prepared well with my coaches, developed tactics, and defeated the Armenian. Then I faced a Ukrainian athlete and easily beat him," he said in his statement to report.az.
The boxer explained the reason for his defeat in the final as follows:
"In the decisive fight, I lost to a Kazakh athlete with a score of 2:3. I had a little physical deficiency. This was probably because it was my first competition among adults. God willing, I will try to achieve better results in the next competitions."
It should be noted that Bilalhəbaşi Nazarov finished the "Strandja" international tournament with a silver medal.
