Azerbaijani boxers winning one gold and two bronze medals at the World Cup in Guiyan, China is a satisfactory result.
Nariman Abdullayev, the head coach of the national team, stated this.
He said that the athletes did not perform poorly in the tournament.
"The World Cup was organized at a high level. Our boxers did not perform poorly in the tournament. We finished the competition with one gold and two bronze medals. All the strong boxers in the world participated in the World Cup. That's why we consider winning three medals a satisfactory result," he emphasized in a statement to report.az.
As you may know, at the World Cup, Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg) won a gold medal, while Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) and Alfonso Dominguez (90 kg) won bronze medals.
