Azerbaijani boxer Farid Sadigov (60 kg) has been disqualified. Sport24.az reports that a prohibited substance was found in the body of the bronze medalist of the national championship.
The presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites, or markers, was detected in the athlete's sample. The boxer was also punished for using or attempting to use a prohibited substance or prohibited method. "S4. Hormone and Metabolic Modulators/meldonium" was found in his body.
Sadigov has therefore been disqualified for 48 months. His sentence started on January 1, 2024.
