QOL.az, referring to Azertac, reports that these words were said by Azerbaijani boxer Alfonso Dominguez, who won a gold medal at the "Great Silk Road" international tournament, in a statement to journalists.
He stated that the competition went well: "The organization is ideal. Strong athletes have come to Baku. Such competitions have a positive impact on boxers staying in shape."
The experienced athlete, competing in the 92 kg weight category, said that he was not in good shape after the Olympic Games: "I rested for a while after this competition. I am trying to get back to my previous form and show good matches to boxing fans."
It should be noted that boxers from 9 countries – Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Russia and Kazakhstan – are competing in the competition. Azerbaijan is represented in this competition by 47 male and 11 female boxers.
