The European Wrestling Championship among wrestlers under 23 continues in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
According to Idman.Biz, on the third day of the competition, three Azerbaijani wrestlers competed: Asmar Cankurtaran (50 kg), Gultakin Shirinova (55 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg).
Shirinova and Gurbanova advanced to the semi-finals, while Cankurtaran lost to her opponent and stopped the fight.

Today, the U-23 European Championship continues in Zrenjanin, Serbia.
Idman.Biz reports that women wrestlers will join the competition on the third day of the tournament.
Asmar Cankurtaran (50 kg), Gultakin Shirinova (55 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) from the national team will step onto the mat.
Among freestyle wrestlers, Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg) will face Levik Mikayelyan from Armenia in the final, Ali Tsokayev (92 kg) will face Fatih Altunbaş from Turkey, and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) will face Habib Davudqadjiyev from Russia.
Aghanezer Novruzov (74 kg) and Vasif Khudiyev (86 kg) will compete for the bronze medal.
It should be noted that earlier, freestyle wrestlers Vasif Baghirov (57 kg) and Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg) won silver medals, and Musa Aghayev (65 kg), Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) won bronze medals.
The European Championship will end on March 15.
