Thus, R.Babazade advanced to the 1/4 final stage.

Today, five Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers will start competing at the European Championship held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
Idman.Biz reports that Islam Bazarganov (57 kg), Rashid Babazade (65 kg), Kenan Heybatov (70 kg), Jabrail Hajiyev (79 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (97 kg) will test their strength by stepping on the mat.
At the same time, three more Azerbaijani female wrestlers will compete for bronze medals during the day. Jala Aliyeva (57 kg), Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Birgul Soltanova will compete for third place at the European Championship.
It should be reminded that Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold, Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals from Greco-Roman wrestlers earlier. The Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team became the first in the team score. Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won a bronze medal among women.
