Azerbaijani wrestler Ali Tsokayev, the winner of the European Wrestling Championship among under-23s held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, is delighted to have won his first gold medal.
"Report" informs that the wrestler said this in a statement to journalists after the competition.
The European champion also spoke about his next goals: "This is my first gold medal in Europe. I have been in the top three at the World Championships before, but I was not destined to win a gold medal. With God's help, I managed to win this time.
I express my gratitude to the coaching staff, the Azerbaijani national wrestling team, as well as everyone who has contributed to us. God willing, we will show even greater results in the future. I am grateful to everyone who supports and worries about us. These successes will continue."
