On April 19, the awarding ceremony of the Women's Volleyball Higher League was held at the Volleyball Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and the President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) Shahin Baghirov.
Idman.Biz reports that Shahin Baghirov, speaking at the ceremony, thanked the teams for their dedication. He congratulated the winners, emphasizing that new athletes are being trained and the number of clubs is increasing thanks to the attention paid to volleyball in the country.
After the official part, awards were presented to players who distinguished themselves in various nominations, and volleyball players who were included in the symbolic team of the season were awarded.
Based on the results of the Higher League, the top three teams were awarded:
"Turan" – gold medal and championship cup;
"DH Volley" – silver medal;
"Ganja" – bronze medal.
At the end of the ceremony, the members of the winning team raised the championship cup over their heads, celebrating the success of the season.
