Today is the birthday of Oksana Kurt (Parkhomenko), one of the legends of Azerbaijani volleyball.

The former captain of our national team has lived a legionnaire's life in Turkey, Switzerland, and Russia, as well as in Azerbaijani clubs. Kurt, who won the "Top Teams" Cup with "Azerreyl", won the title of national champion in the clubs she played for. She only won a silver medal in the Russian Super League with Moscow Dynamo. However, she won the national cup with the capital's representative and became the winner of the best setter nomination.
Oksana has also managed to be among the best in the World Championship and the Turkish Super League.
