"The "Neftchi" men's volleyball team showed character in the match for the third place of the Azerbaijan Higher League".
This was stated by the head coach of "the white-blacks" Viktor Boldariev.
The specialist shared his thoughts after the match in which they defeated "Murov Az Terminal" with a score of 3:0.
"We are happy to have won. We were able to write our name in the list of medalists. The players showed character and emerged victorious from the duel with a strong opponent," he said in a statement to report.az.
He also explained the reason why they could not qualify for the final: "This was due to our personnel problem. A very rare event in volleyball history occurred. Two of our leading volleyball players were injured 3-4 days before the play-off games. This affected the team".
The head coach did not want to talk about the goals for the next season and his fate in the team.
