"Turan" volleyball team's high goals: Statements from head coach Ziya Rajabov

Although Tovuz's "Turan" volleyball team is newly created, its goals are very high.

The head coach of the regional representative, Ziya Rajabov, gave an interview to "Report" about this.

He spoke about the club's goals:

"We want to advance to the final in the upcoming Azerbaijan championship. If we win a ticket to the decisive round, why shouldn't we become champions? These are our desires in the first season. I thank the club management for trusting the local expert. This year we intend to show high results in the local championship. Next year, the goals will be even bigger, we plan to participate in the European Cups."

The expert said that the team's staff has already been formed: "The transfer of two foreign volleyball players is expected in the coming days. There are also famous players. But we will be able to make an announcement after the presentation. Among the locals, the captain of the Azerbaijan national team Ayshen Abdulazimova and other national team members Ulkar Karimova and Yulia Karimova are also with us."

According to Z.Rajabov, important steps are being taken by the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation for the development of children's volleyball in Tovuz and other regions:

The "Turan" team also attaches great importance to the lower age groups. Players from the Ziko Volleyball Academy we created have also been attracted here. Young players from "Lokomotiv" and "Murov" have also been invited to the team. I will do my best for the "Turan" team to achieve good results. We have a very good team. We will all work to achieve our goals."
