The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has released the new ranking table for countries. Sport24.az reports that the Azerbaijani national team is also included in the new list among male volleyball players.
Farid Jalalov's team dropped to 91st place after an unsuccessful performance in the qualifying round of the European Championship. The Azerbaijani national team, which is ahead of only 2 countries in the table - Cambodia and Iceland, has 8.85 points.
Our volleyball players have dropped 7 places compared to the last list. Thus, Azerbaijan has become one of the 3 teams that have regressed the most in the ranking. Unlike our team, Norway (61st place) and Kosovo (77) let 8 rivals ahead of them.
Poland leads the list with 400.14 points.
It should be noted that our national team lost both games against Belgium and Austria in the qualifying round. Our volleyball players could not even win a set in these games.
