President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) Shahin Bagirov met with the youth girls' and boys' volleyball teams that will represent our country at the III CIS Games.
Idman.biz reports that the event was organized at the Volleyball Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The meeting was attended by AVF vice-presidents Faig Garayev and Bahruz Guliyev, Secretary General Faig Orujov, and federation employees involved in the organizational issues of the games.
Shahin Bagirov greeted everyone and wished our teams success in the upcoming competitions. He shared his thoughts on the training camps and friendly games of our volleyball players and stated that he was satisfied with the level of preparation of the teams. The President of the Federation emphasized that participation in the CIS Games is also important for young athletes in terms of gaining international experience.
At the meeting, the AVF leadership and officials also wished our teams success in this prestigious competition hosted by our country.
Later, the head coaches and players of the teams spoke and provided information about the preparation process and the goals set. The head coaches noted that the players are working with high motivation and are mobilizing all their opportunities to achieve good results. The athletes thanked the federation leadership for the created conditions, emphasized that they are fully prepared for the III CIS Games and will do their best to achieve successful results.
It should be noted that the volleyball competitions of the III CIS Games will start on September 29 in Ganja.
