The number of teams in the Azerbaijan Women's Volleyball Championship may reach 9.
This was stated by Shahin Baghirov, President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, in an interview with "Report".
He said that the number of teams in the women's competition will increase from the next season:
"We are currently working on an 8-team championship. As you know, this figure was previously 6. But it is possible that the number will reach 9. But this is not accurate. The development of volleyball in Azerbaijan is obvious. I believe that we will reach our desired goals."
