The XLVI General Assembly of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) was held on November 8 in Paris, the capital of France. Federation representatives from 55 countries participated in the event, led by the President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Fabio Azevedo, and the President of CEV, Roko Sikirić.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) was represented at the meeting by Secretary General Faig Orujov.
The event was also attended by Jalil Jafarov, member of the CEV Executive Committee, advisor to the President of AVF on international affairs.
Within the framework of the Assembly, a report was presented on the work done and achievements made in the last 12 months. Also, as a result of the vote, Andre Meyer, who led the European volleyball family in 2001–2015, was elected Honorary Lifetime President of CEV.
The event also discussed the CEV's action plan for the current and next years, and relevant recommendations were given to local federations regarding the organization of competitions and other organizational matters.
