Rafael Petri, the head coach of the "Ganja" volleyball club, has arrived in Azerbaijan.
Idman.biz reports that the Brazilian specialist has already taken the team to its first training session.
Petri, who aims to start the new season ambitiously with "Ganja", is currently preparing the volleyball players for the upcoming competitions.
The 44-year-old coach made Peru's "Alianza Lima" club the national champion last season. This was the team's first title in 31 years.
During his career, Petry has worked in various clubs in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, and the Czech Republic. He also coached Colombia's U-17, U-18, and U-20 national teams, and from 2020–2022, he was the head coach of the Mexican national team.
