The Azerbaijani national under-18 boys' beach volleyball team has completed its participation in the Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) championship. Sport24.az reports that the Ibrahim Mammadov - Muhammad Aslanli duo took 5th place in the competition held in Tsesis, Latvia.
Our team won against Latvia and Estonia in the group stage and Lithuania in the play-offs. In the 1/4 finals, they lost to the Latvian national team, which came second in the EEVZA championship.
It should be noted that our country was represented in the tournament by two girls' and one boys' team. Our female volleyball players stopped competing in the group stage.
