Natalya Vallek, a member of the Young Professional Cyclists Public Association, won the "GranFondo" Başkent cycling race held in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
"Report" reports that with this result, she entered the history of Azerbaijani cycling as the first athlete to take first place in the international "GranFondo" race.
Our representative reached the finish line before everyone else, passing through mountainous roads, gaining 1300 meters of altitude in the race covering a distance of 91 km. She also took 1st place in her age category.
Among our other athletes, Golamreza Jamfarsadi (+55 age category) took 6th place, and Vugar Salahov (40-44 age category) took 12th place.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan was represented by 3 athletes led by coach Musa Mikayilzade in the race with the participation of about 1000 cyclists.
