MES has won the "Victory Cup" volleyball tournament

The "Victory Cup" volleyball tournament dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War among employees of state institutions operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has ended.

Idman.Biz reports that the final match of the tournament was held on December 29.

The teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and the Ministry of Culture were on the field in the decisive match held at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex.

In the final match, which took place in an interesting and intense sports competition, since there was a 2:2 draw, another set was played to determine the winner. MES, which completed the tie-break with a score of 15:9, won the main prize of the tournament.

At the award ceremony, the referees of the tournament were first awarded with certificates of appreciation. Members of the teams that won the first three places were awarded diplomas, medals and cups.

It should be noted that the tournament, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Nakhchivan branch of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, started in November, and a total of 10 teams participated in the competition. The purpose of the tournament is to promote a healthy lifestyle among employees working in government agencies, increase interest in volleyball, and jointly celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Glorious Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.
