For us, playing against strong teams is an opportunity.
This was stated by Jahangir Seyed Abbasi, head coach of the Azerbaijan national volleyball team of boys under 17, to the Western Bureau of "Report".
"The Azerbaijan national volleyball team of boys under 17 played normally in the first set in the match against the Kyrgyzstan national team. There was stress in the second and third sets. The opponent is experienced. Although the third set was extended, our children were able to keep the game under control and won. This is a very important issue," the head coach said.
He emphasized that they had the opportunity to play against stronger teams. "Our team is the youngest team in these competitions. Most of our players were born in 2009. Of course, these children should see new venues and gain experience. I hope that we will show a better game in the next competitions. I also thank the Volleyball Federation for their support," the head coach added.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national volleyball team of boys under 17, which started the fight in the III CIS Games, defeated the Kyrgyzstan national team with a score of 3:0.
