The Men's Volleyball World Championship concluded today in the Philippines.
Idman.biz reports that the winner of the tournament was the Italian national team.
In the final, the Italians defeated Bulgaria with a score of 3:1 (25:21, 25:17, 17:25, 25:10). This is the fifth world championship title in the history of the Italian team.
In the match for third place, the Polish national team defeated the Czech Republic with the same score – 3:1, winning the bronze medal of the world championship.
It should be noted that the USSR national team won the most gold medals at the World Championships - 6 times.
