The men's volleyball team will make the Azerbaijani people happy with their victories in the near future.
This was stated by national team member Elmin Alishanov in an interview with "Report".
The experienced player first commented on the away match against Belgium in the qualifying round of the European Championship:
"We tried to do our best in the away match against Belgium. Belgium, one of the leading volleyball teams in Europe, was superior to us in terms of game level. There are many new volleyball players in our national team. Almost 70 percent of the squad has been renewed. We, as experienced players, are trying to support them.
His thoughts on the match against Austria in Baku were as follows:
"We wanted to succeed in the home match against Austria. Unfortunately, we couldn't show the game we wanted. The experience of our players does not allow us to achieve the result we want. I am sure that each of these matches is a great experience for our team. In the near future, we will make the Azerbaijani people happy with our victories."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team lost the last two matches to Belgium and Austria with a score of 0:3.
