Eldar Zulfugarov, an international-level volleyball referee from Azerbaijan, wants to be appointed to the senior World Championship, the League of Nations, and the Summer Olympic Games.
The experienced referee stated this in an interview with "Report".
The representative of justice, who will officiate the matches of the U-19 Women's World Championship, which will start on July 2 in Serbia and Croatia, said that this appointment was not unexpected for him:
"I have previously participated as a referee in the final stages of the European Championships among adults 6 times. In 2023, I was involved in the continental tournament for both women and men. I expected to be appointed to the games of the U-19 Women's World Championship. We will officiate matches every day. I also want to be in charge of more prestigious competitions. This includes the World Championship, the Summer Olympic Games, and the League of Nations. Because I have previously participated in the European Championships."
It should be noted that the winner of the U-19 European Championship, in which 24 national teams will compete, will be known on July 13.
