The draw ceremony for the 2025/2026 season of the Higher Leagues among male and female volleyball players has been held.
"Report" informs that representatives of the federation and clubs participated in the event organized in the sports hall of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation.
In the new season, 9 teams will compete in the Women's Higher League – "Azerrail", "Absheron", "Murov Az Terminal", "Ganja", "National Aviation Academy", UNEC, as well as the debutant clubs "DH Volley", "Turan" and "Gencler".
The competitions will consist of a league stage (preliminary stage) and a play-off. The league stage will be held in one round according to the round-robin system on a home-away basis. Based on the results, the top 8 teams will advance to the play-offs.
In the men's championship, 6 teams will compete – "AZERRAIL", "Murov Az Terminal", "Khilasedici", "Neftchi", ORDU and "Gencler". The games will be organized in two rounds according to the round-robin system on a home-away basis. At the end of the two rounds, the teams that will be in the first 4 places will gain the right to participate in the play-offs.
