The XLVI General Assembly of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) was held in Paris, the capital of France.
Idman.Biz reports that the event was led by the President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Fabio Azevedo, and the President of the CEV, Roko Sikirić. Federation representatives from 55 countries participated in the Assembly.
The Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) was represented at the event by Secretary General Faig Orujov. Jalil Jafarov, a member of the CEV Executive Committee and advisor to the AVF President on international affairs, also participated in the meeting.
During the Assembly, a report was presented on the work done in the last 12 months. According to the results of the vote, Andre Meyer, who led European volleyball from 2001 to 2015, was elected Honorary Life President of CEV.
The event also discussed CEV's action plan for the coming years, and recommendations were given to local federations regarding the organization of competitions and organizational issues.
