The Azerbaijani women's volleyball team will prepare very seriously for the European League (CEV Volleyball European League 2026).
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by the libero of the national team, Bəyaz Quluyeva.
The volleyball player stated in an interview with Report that they are aware of some of their opponents:
"We have faced some of the opponents in our group in various tournaments before. Of course, there are no easy opponents. We, in turn, will prepare very seriously for the European League. We will play the first round of games at home, in front of our native fans. This will inspire us even more. The next games will be away. I hope that we will perform successfully and confidently in the tournament and win victories. Our goal is to get out of the group and advance to the next stage. Our team has this potential."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani women's national team, which is currently ranked 27th, will compete with Sweden, Estonia, North Macedonia, Spain, Israel and Switzerland in the group.
The competition, which has been organized in the format of "Golden European League" and "Silver European League" since 2018, will be held under the name "European League" from next year. The tournament is a qualifier for the European Championship and brings ranking points to the participants.
