Azerbaijan's U18 girls' volleyball team has departed for Telavi, Georgia, to participate in the Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) Championship. According to Sport24.az, referring to the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, the team led by Shahin Chatma will face Poland and Georgia in Group A.
The national team will play its first match against Poland on November 20.
Under the leadership of head coach Shahin Chatma and coaches Hamid Anvari, Zihni Turkay Taylan, and Serim Birol, 14 volleyball players will compete in the tournament: Chinara Rahimova, Fatima Aliyeva, Dilara Agayeva, Ulyana Kovalyova, Nuray Vahabli, Madina Alibeyova, Ayan Mammadova, Chinara Yusubova, Fatima Mirzayeva, Zeynep Guluzade, Khadija Hadizade, Leyla Aliyeva, Aydan Mirzayeva, Nazrin Mammadli.
It should be noted that the competition, which will be held between November 20 and 23, is a qualifying round for EURO-2026. According to the regulations, the champion team will directly qualify for the final stage of the continental championship.
