The Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) Championship for U18 girls and boys in beach volleyball has concluded.
Idman.biz reports that, in addition to the local team, the national teams of Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine competed in the championship held in Cesis, Latvia.
Our men's national team (Ibrahim Mammadov / Muhammad Aslanli) finished the competition in 5th place. Our team won against Latvia and Estonia in the group stage, and against the Lithuanian team in the play-offs. In the 1/4 finals, they lost to the Latvian national team, which came in second place in the EEVZA championship.
It should be noted that our country was represented by two girls' and one boys' team in the tournament. Our girls stopped fighting in the group stage.
