Azerbaijani national teams consisting of girls and boys have qualified for the 1/4 finals at the Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA) championship among beach volleyball players under 20, which is being held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
"Report" informs that Azerbaijan is represented by two girls' and two boys' pairs in the tournament that started today.
In the boys' competition, the pair of Ibrahim Mammadov and Muhammad Aslanli defeated Armenia 2:0 and secured a ticket to the 1/4 finals.
The pair of Khadija Hadizade and Jamila Bashirova, who defeated the Georgian representatives 2:1 in the preliminary stage, also advanced to the next stage. In the 1/4 finals, which will take place tomorrow, our girls will face the hosts.
It should be noted that the competition will end on June 29. The teams that take the first three places will qualify for the European Championship.
