Azerbaijan Premier League Winners Awarded

The awarding ceremony of the winners of the Azerbaijan Women's Volleyball Higher League was held.

Idman.biz reports that after the final held at the National Gymnastics Arena, the medals were presented by Shahin Bagirov, the president of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, vice-president Faig Garayev, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade, and president of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Roko Sikiric.

"Azerreyl" was awarded gold, "Absheron" silver, and "National Aviation Academy" bronze medals.

Speaking before the award ceremony, Chingiz Huseynzade congratulated the winning teams and said that today was a real volleyball holiday.

CEV President Roko Sikiric emphasized that the championship was organized at a high level. He noted that both teams showed a very good game in the final.

Shahin Bagirov, the president of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, also congratulated the winners. The head of the organization said that the teams fought worthy during the season: "It is the result of the care shown by the state that we watched such a magnificent match in such a venue today."

Thanking the CEV president for coming to Baku, Bagirov emphasized that the main goal is to win a license for the Olympics.

It should be noted that the final match in the Men's Volleyball Higher League will be held on April 25 between the "Murov Az Terminal" and "Azerreyl" clubs. In the first match, the "railroaders" were superior - 3:0.
