Azerbaijan's men's national volleyball team has entered the decisive stage of preparation for the continuation of the 2026 European Championship qualifying round.
Idman.biz reports that the qualifying round started last year, and our team lost the first two matches against their opponents in the group.
Our team lost to Austria away and Belgium at home with the same score - 0:3.
Now, the team led by Farid Jalalov will play return matches with these teams. Our volleyball players will play against the Austrian national team on August 13 in Belgium and on August 16 in Baku.
Currently, the Belgian team is the leader of the group, having scored 6 points in the first two games and without losing a single set.
Looking at the overall picture, the teams that were leaders in their groups in the first round of the qualifying stage were Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia and Latvia.
It should be noted that the European Championship will be held in Bulgaria, Finland, Italy and Romania.
