The Azerbaijan men's volleyball team is starting preparations for the next matches of the 2026 European Championship qualifying round after completing their performance in the European Silver League.
Idman.biz reports that the qualifying round started last year and our team lost the first two matches in the group - away to Austria and at home to Belgium - with the same score of 0:3.
The team, coached by Farid Jalalov, now has two return matches left with these rivals. Our volleyball players will face Belgium away on August 13 and Austria in Baku on August 16.
The Belgians, who scored 6 points in the first two matches, lead the group.
Speaking of the overall balance of power, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia and Latvia took the lead in their groups in the first round of qualification.
It should be noted that the European Championship will be held in Bulgaria, Finland, Italy and Romania.
