Azerbaijan Championship among volleyball players under 18 concluded

The Azerbaijan Championship among volleyball girls and boys under 18 has ended. Sport24.az reports that the winners were determined today at the Volleyball Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In the boys' competition, the "Murov Az Terminal" team won the bronze medal by defeating "Baku RVK" with a score of 3:1. Among the girls, the third place was taken by the "Momina Khatun" team, which defeated the "Oguz RVK" club with a score of 3:0.

In the girls' final match, the "National Aviation Academy" team defeated "Lokomotiv" with a score of 3:0. In the boys' decisive match, the "Sharqi Zangazur RVK" team defeated "Ordu" with the same score (3:0) and won the championship.

At the awarding ceremony held after the final games, the activity of Shahin Chatma, the head coach of the national teams of teenage and young girls, whose contract with the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) has expired, was highly appreciated. AVF President Shahin Bagirov thanked the Turkish specialist, who was invited to our country in 2023, for his contributions to the development of volleyball in the capital and regions, and presented him with the federation's certificate of appreciation.

Members of the youth national team presented Shahin Chatma with a symbolic uniform of the team. The Turkish specialist thanked the AVF management for the created conditions in his speech and expressed his confidence that young athletes will successfully perform in the main team in the future.
