The Azerbaijan Championship among volleyball girls and boys under 14 has concluded. The winners of bronze and gold medals have been determined in the decisive matches held at the Volleyball Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Idman.Biz reports that this year's competitions were remembered for the absolute dominance of regional representatives.
In the girls' final match, the "Turan" team from Tovuz defeated "AZERRAIL" with a score of 2:1 and became the winner of the competition. In the match for third place, the "Momina Khatun" (Nakhchivan) team defeated the "Sharqi Zangezur RVK" club with a score of 2:1 and won bronze medals.
In the boys' final match, the "Nakhchivan" team defeated "Oguz RVK" with a score of 2:0 and won the championship. In the bronze medal match, the "Sumgayit RVK" team defeated "Baku RVK" with the same score (2:0).
At the award ceremony held after the final matches, the president of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, Shahin Bagirov, spoke and congratulated the winners. He noted that in recent years, important steps have been taken to develop this sport not only in the capital but also in the regions.
