All participants of the Women's European Volleyball Championship have been finalized.
Idman.biz reports that, based on the results of the group matches, the 24 teams that will compete in the 2026 finals have been determined.
Germany, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, and Greece, who secured their group leaderships ahead of time, as well as Romania and Montenegro, who formalized their participation before the last round, have been joined by Croatia. The latter finished the qualifying round as leaders.
The owners of the 5 best second places in 7 groups – Austria, Latvia, Hungary and Portugal – have also qualified for the EC-2026. The Romanians completed the "top five" as they lost in the last round.
Thus, the 24 teams have been determined for the competition to be hosted by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Czech Republic and Sweden.
