Idman.biz reports that this was stated by the team's head coach Erhan Toker in a statement to the club's press service.
The Turkish specialist shared his thoughts on the first match of the 1st qualifying round of the European Cup against the Cypriot representative "Anorthosis" today: "We will play a very important match. It is a bit difficult to play a qualifying match on the European stage before the league starts. Of course, we are not in our best form in the full sense. We will try to be in the most optimal form as much as we can until the match time."
Toker said that they will only see their mistakes and weaknesses in this match: "We want to go on the road with a favorable result. As for the opponent's squad, they have 3-4 local players as well as legionnaires. They were also in the squad last year. I hope everything will continue in the direction we want."
It should be noted that today's "Absheron Lions" - "Anorthosis" match, which will be held at the Baku Sports Palace, will start at 19:00. The second match between the teams will take place on October 1 in Limassol.
