Azerbaijani table tennis player Onur Quluzade has achieved a high result at the European Championship among juniors.
İdman.Biz reports that Onur, who competed with his Turkish counterpart Görkem Öcal in the doubles event in the city of Gondomar, Portugal, defeated the Czech athletes in the quarterfinals and advanced to the semifinals.
With this result, Onur has secured at least third place, becoming the first Azerbaijani table tennis player to achieve this success in the independence period.
The Onur Quluzade-Görkəm Öcal duo will face the Austrian-Spanish tandem of Luis Fegerl-Ladimir Mayorov in the semifinals to be held today.
