"Report" informs that this was stated by the president of ASF Zaur Aliyev at the organization's conference.
He spoke about the innovations: "The strategy covers the next 4 years. We will work on 4 principles. These are the development of swimming in Azerbaijan, increasing mass participation, successful participation in international competitions and winning medals. We want to involve schoolchildren more in this process. Of course, this will be on a voluntary basis. In addition, we want to hold competitions and festivals among amateurs in the country, and in this way increase people's interest in swimming."
The head of the organization emphasized that there is no need to change the name: "We have studied the experience of other countries. In most places, the name is in the form of the Swimming Federation. For this reason, we did not see the need for a change. If there is a need in the future, it will be implemented."
The president of ASF said that a new foreign head coach will be appointed to the water polo national team: "We have parted ways with the foreign head coach of the water polo team. Work in this direction is currently ongoing. The new head coach will also be a foreigner. Our employees will visit Croatia in the near future. We want to benefit from the experience of this country and will continue our searches and choose a suitable candidate. In the swimming national team, Rashad muallim continues his work successfully. We are not thinking about changes at the moment."
Aliyev said that propaganda will be carried out in schools: "Unfortunately, young people who cannot swim often drown when they go to the sea and want to show heroism in front of their friends. We will constantly conduct propaganda on social media about this. But I cannot say how effective it will be. Because other organizations should also conduct propaganda. We want children to learn to swim starting from school and we are doing work related to this. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is also doing a lot of work in this area."
