The Open Baku Championship among junior and youth rowers was held jointly by the Baku City Youth and Sports Department and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (ACRF).
According to the information provided to "Report" from ACRF, about 100 athletes from Baku and Mingachevir participated in the competition.
According to the regulations, rowers competed in the kayak category in both 1-person and 2-person boats, and in canoe and academic rowing in 1-person boats over a distance of 500 meters. The winners of the Open Baku Championship, which took place in an interesting competitive environment, were awarded with diplomas and medals.
It should be noted that one of the main goals in organizing the Open Baku Championship and similar domestic competitions is to check the level of preparation of athletes, and at the same time to involve rowers selected from among them in the youth national team.
