The final match in the sabre fencing competition at the III CIS Games was difficult.
This was stated by Russian athlete Yaroslav Borisov, who won a gold medal, in an interview with the Western Bureau of "Report".
He said that the award he received in Ganja will hold a special place in his career:
"The final match was difficult. My opponent was my teammate. At the end of the tense match, I was lucky and I won. In general, the competition was not easy. Because my opponents were athletes from the CIS. This is an important medal I have won in my career."
It should be noted that Yaroslav Borisov defeated his compatriot Pyotr Taychenachev with a score of 15:8 in the final.
