Norwegian skier Kristine Stavos Skistad was injured during training before the sprint race at the XXV Winter Olympics in Italy.
"Report" reports, citing SVT, that the 27-year-old athlete lost control on a turn and fell.
According to experts, the accident was caused by icy patches under the soft snow masses on the track. As a result of the incident, K. Skistad suffered bloody abrasions on her face, but she intends to participate in tomorrow's race.
It should be noted that the women's sprint race will start on February 10.
