Xandra Velzeboer, a member of the Dutch national short track team, became the champion at the XXV Winter Olympics by breaking her own world record in the 500-meter race.
According to "Report", she covered the distance in 41.609 seconds, climbing to the highest step of the podium.
Velzeboer broke her own world record (41.416 seconds) in the semifinals with a time of 41.399 seconds.
This is the 24-year-old athlete's second Olympic gold medal. Velzeboer won her first championship in the relay race at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
It should be noted that the XXV Winter Olympics will conclude on February 22.
